Almost immediately after the onset of 2020 and the hailing in of a brand new decade, this 6-song concept album (EP) was released. Titled ‘Mutatio Animi,’ which is Latin for “transformation of the mind," the album plays non-stop as each of the 6 tracks, which are all connected by a central theme, blends smoothly and seamlessly into one another creating a “single, modern-day masterpiece with 6 individual movements."

Phil Tallo is an American Singer-Songwriter/Composer, Arranger, Music Producer, Pianist/Keyboardist, Multi-Instrumentalist, Lyricist, and an active member of ASCAP as a registered composer, author (pertaining to song lyrics), and music publisher. Born and raised in the St. Louis area of Missouri, Phil's passion for music sparked at an early age as he began taking piano lessons at the tender age of 6 and started writing songs by age 15. In the fall of 2003, after studying music at Webster University, he moved to Los Angeles, California where he resided for over 18 years as a successful songwriter and music producer. Now he is back in St. Louis where it all began.
Since the 2011 release of his debut LP titled ‘Live For The Day,’ Phil has been heavily focused on expanding his repertoire, which constitutes a diverse catalog of songs encompassing multiple genres and various styles of music. He aspires to create timeless and dramatic music that, along with the lyrics, most often depict stories relatable to the average person and/or life in general. Influenced by captivating melodies (for allure and appeal), rich harmonies (for detail and color), and shifting dynamics (for mood and emotion), he strives to incorporate these same characteristics into his own compositions while also aiming to make sure that each one is both musically and lyrically unique from the others. All in all, Phil wishes to let his music speak for itself.
